A friend of mine picked up Super Street Fighter IV. At the end of the arcade mode for each character, they have an anime ending.

It's now official that Juri Han is my favorite character in all of Street Fighter.

I also like Bison and my all time favoirite is still... Zangief!

I am now starting and already up to episode 19 in the Code Geass series. I like Mao and that scientist guy.

Honda is a very cheap character. So is Blanka and yes I'll admit Zangief. But Blanka and Honda are the cheapest. If you know how to play them they have unstoppable moves. Zangief isn't as cheap anymore because of some of the new characters who can counter his "Spin it to Win it".

Hundred hand slap wasn't the problem. It was the grapple he had. You could just keep doing it over and over. Blanka could keep rolling like a ball and it was impossible to stop him (Until Hakans second ultra). And Zangief has the good old "Spin it to Win it." And sadly Akuma is still pretty useless. But at least now Akuma is better than Guile or C. Viper.

BTW my Bleach game came and my PS2 was broken the moment I turned it on. CD drive won't come out. Thank God for the warranty.

That's why I stick to BlazBlue. SSFIV actually belongs to a friend (who now has his own 360.) I picked up Continuum Shift last night and what I've played made me a happy camper. I should also note that the character Hazama is voiced by the same guy that does Gin Ichimaru's voice.

My two mains have received some upgrades.

Iron Tager (or just Tager as he is often called):

He received more power and health. (Yes, each character has health points, varying with each character, Tager having the most.) He also has Guard Libras out the ass. "Unlimited" Tager is an avatar of fear itself.

My other main is Hakumen.

He got a easier to perform Astral Finish. (A counter assault that only asks you to charge down, then tap up and "Drive" which is easier than "Rotate 720 degrees and Drive.") An Astral Finish is literally a Finish. If it hits, it kills the opponent. But you can't go all crazy with them. You must have 100% Heat and in a "Match Point" situation, where you could win the match with that round. (Like best two of three and you've already won one.) And your opponent has to have 35% or less health.

Sucks about the PS2. (Hopefully you've stuck with me past that wall of drivel.)

I won't give up on my PS2 just yet. I may have a plan.

Also never even heard of that other game but I might look into it. It looks nice.

Perhaps we need a seperate thread to discuess video games though. This is the Anime thread and we are way off track.

Anyway. I've seen Lucky Star. Dear god, it was funny, it was terrible. Unless you can stand having a hole bored through your brain for however long the anime runs for, don't watch it.
It's slice of life anime. Just a bunch of teenage girls standing around talking about everyday shit.

I kinda enjoyed it. >.>

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is pretty damn cool too.

Utawarerumono. Meh, it's okay. Story moves a little too fast though, so I would suggest leaving about a day or so between episodes.

All of studio Ghibli. Since my first post (and subsequent posts), I've organized an anime night (all night watching anime with about 20 others lol. Hello anime on a projector! Very Happy

).
Howls Moving Castle would probably be my favorite, followed by The Cat Returns, Spirited Away.. and everything else.

Damn was Grave of the Fireflies depressing. If you ever go to watch it, make sure to watch My Neighbor Totoro right after it.

Death Note live actions. Personally... better than the anime.

Ouran High School Host Club. It's okay, if you can ignore the mass amounts of pink in it.

I would also like to take back my like of Naruto. FUCK YOU INSULT TO ANIME!

Code Geass. I've seen all of Season 1. Seen the first 4 volumes of R2, just waiting for my friend the complete the collection. Smile

Don't like Soul Eater. Jsut not up my alley.

Hellsing, fucking, pwns. Tiwlight can kiss my butt, Alucard would kick every other universe (buffy, twilight, etc etc) vampires butt any day.

I love Studio Ghibli films. Totoro is one of my all time favorite movies. Recently, I showed a metalhead friend of mine Totoro. He wanted to go see Toy Story 3, and I made mention that Totoro makes a cameo appearance. He had no idea who Totoro was, so I showed it to him. He loved it and bought a Totoro plushie.

I agree with Grave of the Fireflies. If you watch that and don't at least mist up, you're a souless monster.

And switched over to the Naruto hate side did we? What brought this on? (Also, welcome. Very Happy

)

I didn't much like Code Geass. The girls were eye candy, and the rest of the series was kinda "cookie-cutter-see-it-before-Gundam-did-it-better" for me. When I told my friend in London about how Legato Bluesummers' mind power was better, he asked me who Legato Bluesummers was. *groan*

Also, if you read manga on the internet only sparingly, OneManga is going down apparently.

I hate Naruto as well. An insult to real ninjas, a poorly made Anime, and the thing I hate the most is how the fans try to wedge Naruto characters or other Naruto things into every thing on the internet. There are so many ways they could have made it a great Anime but f*cked up at every chance.

Gundam's good. Some of the newer stuff is a bit... bad. (Everything SEED and later.)

Personal favorites are Gundam Wing and G Gundam, the later being less serious than most Gundam series. (You'll see what I mean if you watch G Gundam after just about any other Gundam series.)
